While it certainly looks more convenient to use, I would still suggest to commit some time on standardization. I hate a lot of standards as well, but they are there for a reason and we must use them. Especially when there's majority of enterprise out there is all about money and transactions, implementing own standards is just putting a risk on customers and stakeholders.
